Mockdeck
Privacy Policy
The short version. Mockdeck does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours that your data is sent to. Your projects, your screenshots and your exports stay on your device.
The rest of this policy explains that in detail, and is honest about the two places where your device does talk to someone else's server: Google's font service, and the app store that processes a purchase.
1. Who we are
Mockdeck is published by New Age Devs, the trading name of an individual developer. For anything in this policy, contact:

We are the data controller for any personal data described below, which, as you will see, is almost none.
2. What Mockdeck does
Mockdeck is a design tool that runs on your device. You bring screenshots from your own device, place them inside device frames, add backgrounds and captions, and export store-ready images. All of that work happens locally, using your device's own processor and storage. Your images and your text are never uploaded anywhere.
The app is not, however, completely free of network activity. It downloads typefaces from Google's font service, including the two typefaces used by its own interface. Section 6.1 explains exactly what that involves and what Google receives.
3. Information we do not collect
We want to be specific, because "we value your privacy" pages usually are not. Mockdeck contains no code that collects, transmits or stores any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Any account or login credentials, because there is no account system
- Analytics, usage statistics, session recordings or event telemetry
- Crash or diagnostic reports sent to us
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), advertising SDKs or ad networks
- Location data of any kind
- Contacts, calendars or microphone recordings
- Any device fingerprint or persistent identifier created by us
- Your screenshots, images, projects, captions or exported files
There is no Mockdeck server. We could not receive your files even if we wanted to, because the app has no code that uploads them.
4. Information that stays on your device
Mockdeck stores the following locally, in the app's own storage area on your device:

None of this is transmitted to us.
How to remove it. Deleting a project removes that project and its layout. It does not automatically delete the images that project used, because the same image can be used by more than one project. Imported images are removed individually from the app's image library, and added font files from the font picker. Uninstalling Mockdeck removes everything at once, subject to your platform's own backup behaviour, which is covered in section 8.
5. Photos, camera and files
To place a screenshot into a mockup, Mockdeck needs to read an image you choose. To save your finished work, it needs to write a file.
- Choosing an existing image. Mockdeck opens your platform's own picker. It receives only the specific files you select in that picker. It cannot browse your library, and it does not scan, index or catalogue your photos.
- Taking a photo. You can capture an image with your camera instead of choosing one. The camera opens only when you tap that option, the resulting photo is handed straight to the app, and nothing is recorded before or after that capture. There is no background or continuous camera access.
- Saving. Exported images are saved to your photo library, your Files or Downloads location, or handed to the system share sheet, always as a direct result of you tapping export or share.
On iOS and macOS this is why the app asks for photo library and camera permission, and each prompt explains its use. On Android, saving uses the system MediaStore. You can decline or later revoke these permissions in your device settings. Mockdeck will keep working, but importing, capturing or saving images will not.
6. When your device does contact a third party
There are exactly two, and neither one involves us receiving anything.
6.1 Google Fonts
Mockdeck offers typefaces from the Google Fonts library, both for your captions and for the app's own interface. The first time a given typeface is needed, the font file is downloaded from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) and then cached on your device, so it is not fetched again.
This includes the app's own interface. Mockdeck's user interface is set in two typefaces from that library, so a download of those two normally happens the first time you launch the app, before you have chosen anything. Browsing the caption font picker will fetch further typefaces as their previews come into view.
As with any request to any web server, Google receives your device's IP address and standard request information, such as the requested font and your user-agent, at the moment of that download. Google's handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. We receive nothing from these requests and have no visibility into them.
No part of your project, no image, no caption text and no file, is ever sent in these requests. Only the identifier of a font file is. Once a typeface is cached, using it again requires no network access, and the app is fully usable offline thereafter.
6.2 In-app purchase (Mockdeck Pro)
Mockdeck offers a single one-time purchase, Mockdeck Pro (com.newagedevs.mockup.pro), which removes the watermark from exports. There is no subscription.
That transaction is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on your platform. You pay them, not us. Mockdeck receives only a yes or no answer about whether the purchase is active, and stores that answer on your device so that Pro keeps working when you are offline.
We never see, receive or store your card number, billing address, or the identity of your Google account or Apple ID. Payment handling is governed by:
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy
Your store keeps its own record of the purchase, which is what makes "Restore Purchases" work.
7. The web version
If you use Mockdeck through a web browser rather than an installed app, everything you import and everything you create is held in the browser tab's memory for that session only. There is no server-side storage, and the browser version does not write your projects or images to permanent browser storage. Closing or reloading the tab discards them, so export anything you want to keep before you leave the page.
The hosting provider that serves the page may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of delivering it, in the same way as any website. We add no analytics to the web version.
8. Backups
If you have your platform's backup enabled, such as Google One backup on Android, iCloud Backup on iOS, or Time Machine on macOS, your device may include Mockdeck's local files in that backup. On Android this behaviour is on by default at the operating system level. That means projects and imported images can be copied to your own cloud backup account.
This is a function of your operating system and your settings, not of Mockdeck, and those backups are governed by Google's or Apple's privacy policy. You can turn app backup off in your device settings.
9. Children
Mockdeck is a professional design tool. It is not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your country, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on a parent's request. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
10. Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU and UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete and port the personal data a company holds about you, and to object to its processing or its sale.
We hold no personal data about you. There is no database, no account record and no profile to produce, correct or erase, so there is nothing for us to act on, and nothing that could be sold or shared. We do not and have never sold or shared personal information. No "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is needed, because there is no such data.
For the data that is held about your purchase, your rights run against the store that processed it, Google or Apple, through your account settings with them. For the font requests described in section 6.1, your rights run against Google under its own policy.
To delete everything Mockdeck holds on your device, delete the individual items in the app as described in section 4, or uninstall the app.

11. Data retention and security
Because we receive no data, we retain none. Data on your device persists until you delete it, and is protected by your device's own security: screen lock, disk encryption, and the operating system's app sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading Mockdeck's files.
12. International transfers
Not applicable to us, because we do not receive or transfer your personal data. Font requests (section 6.1) and purchases (section 6.2) are served by Google's and Apple's global infrastructure and are covered by their own policies and transfer mechanisms.
13. Changes to this policy
If Mockdeck ever changes in a way that affects this policy, for example if a future version added a feature that required a network service, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above before that version ships. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. The current version of this policy always lives at the URL linked from the app's Settings screen.
